Do you deliver kayaks to vacation rentals?
Yes. We deliver kayaks and paddleboards directly to any lakefront vacation rental. Delivery is $20, and free when you rent for 2 consecutive nights. Equipment arrives at your dock ready to go, and we pick it up when your rental is complete.
Do I need experience to kayak on Lake Lure?
Beginners are welcome. The lake can be busy, but there are plenty of quiet coves, which are great for avoiding open water on windy days. Our kayaks are stable and easy for beginners.
What is included with the rental?
Every rental includes the kayak or paddleboard, paddles, USCG-approved PFDs, and a dry bag. Looking for a pontoon day instead? Our pontoon rentals include a Yeti cooler, Bluetooth speakers, and a shaded bimini top.
What if the weather is bad?
Safety comes first. If you're worried about the weather, give us a call at (828) 625-8066 and a team member will check conditions with you. Conditions on the lake are often better than the forecast looks. We only accept weather cancellations on the day of your rental, because Lake Lure has fickle weather. If you get rained out, we only charge for the time you used. A chillier day or a few extra clouds don't count as a weather cancellation.
What is your cancellation policy?
To change or cancel at no cost, call us at (828) 625-8066 at least 48 hours before your reservation start time. A valid credit card holds your time. Inside that 48-hour window, we charge 50% of your reservation as a cancellation fee. Refunds don't apply because we never take deposits or charge in advance. You pay once your reservation is complete.
