Lake Lure is a small town with a lot to do in nature. We are nestled in the foothills of the Blue Ridge mountains of Western North Carolina. You can stay right on the lake or river, get out to one of the local spots for some music, good food, and cool atmosphere, take a hike, climb the Chimney Rock, or study the history. CHIMNEY ROCK STATE PARK
Chimney Rock State Park boasts a 75-mile panoramic view that is worth the hike. There are various trails throughout the park for all fitness levels that include scenic views of Hickory Nut Gorge, Lake Lure and towering waterfalls. It is a top attraction for anyone coming to the area — after Lake Lure Adventure Company, of course.
Lake Lure Flowering Bridge
Only one of a few bridges turned into a natural garden, the Lake Lure Flowering Bridge is an experience not to be missed. Maintained by a group of dedicated volunteers, the bridge showcases different displays throughout the year including a fairy village at Christmas.
Lake Lure Beach
A beach in the middle of the NC Mountains? You bet and it is gorgeous. It includes a splash pad, volleyball courts, slides, and more. All you need to spend a perfect day at the beach!
Canopy Ridge Farm
Just up the road from Lake Lure Adventure Company is Canopy Ridge Farms, offering the best in zipline adventure.
Morse Park
Just a short walk from Lake Lure Beach is Morris Park, a scenic park with several easy trails for every fitness level.
Lakeview Driving Tour
This tour will take you around the backside of the lake to Rumbling Bald Resort and offers not only natural vistas but a peek at some amazing lake homes.
